Day 01: Mumbai

Today arrive at Mumbai International Airport. Be met and assisted with Akbar Holidays representative and get transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day will remain free for independent activities. Overnight in Mumbai.

Day 02: Mumbai

Today, proceed on a half-day tour of Mumbai. Mumbai is the commercial capital of India, and a fast paced, cosmopolitan city. Visit the Gateway of India, situated at Apollo Bunder. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911. Next, visit the Prince of Wales Museum, which houses a priceless collection of art, sculpture, china and other antiques. Drive past the Victoria Terminus, Mumbai University and Rajabai Clock Tower. Make a photo stop at Dhobi Ghat, the open-air laundry of the city. Drive past Marine Drive, Chowpatty Beach, the Parsi Towers of Silence and Malabar Hill. Visit Mani Bhavan, the old Mumbai residence of Mahatma Gandhi. It's a pretty, two-storied structure that showcases well-preserved memorabilia, including an old charkha or spinning wheel that Gandhiji used to use. Overnight in Mumbai

Day 03: Mumbai – Udaipur (By Air)

Today on time transfer to Mumbai Airport and take your flight to Udaipur. Arrive at Udaipur Airport. Be met and assisted with Akbar Holidays representative and get transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day will remain free for independent activities. Overnight in Udaipur

Day 04: Udaipur

Today, enjoy a full-day tour of Udaipur. Visit the City Palace, standing on the east bank of Lake Pichola. The complex is a massive series of palaces built at different times from 1559. The balconies of the palace provide panoramic views of the Lake Palace Hotel and Jag Mandir on one side, and the city of Udaipur on the other. The City Palace boasts of a wonderful blend of Medieval, European and Chinese architecture. The various towers, domes, arches, paintings, mosaics, intricately carved 'chhatris' and the architecturally brilliant facade all contribute to making your visit to the City Palace a truly memorable experience. Thereafter, visit a picturesque garden, Sahelion ki Bari. It features beautiful fountains, a delightful lotus pool and marble elephants. You will visit also visit Jagat Temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Ambika- a form of Goddess Durga. Built in 961 A.D, this temple is renowned for its intricate carvings in the exteriors. Day 05: Udaipur / Jaipur (422 Kms / 07 Hrs)

Today post breakfast, you will be transferred to Jaipur. Check in at the hotel. Free at leisure to enjoy time in Bazar of Jaipur. Overnight in Jaipur

Day 06: Jaipur

Today, enjoy a full-day sightseeing trip of Jaipur , also known as the ‘Pink City’. The city of Jaipur is capital to the state of Rajasthan, famous for its colorful culture, forts, palaces, and lakes. Jaipur owes its name to the founder of the city, warrior king Sawai Jai Singh II. Visit the Amber Fort, bordering the Maota Lake; this beautiful citadel is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. The best way to Learn More the fort is to ride up to it on elephant back (subject to avalibality). Prominent structures inside the fort are the Diwan-i-Aam, adorned with latticed galleries, the Ganesh Pol, with a beautiful painted image of Lord Ganesh, and the stunning Sheesh Mahal, a hall decorated with thousands of tiny mirrors. Later, stop to photograph the beautiful Hawa Mahal, also known as the “Palace of the Winds.” This beautiful façade with its ornately carved latticework windows was designed so the ladies of the palace could look out onto the streets unobserved. Later visit the City Palace… again, a synthesis of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. The museums here showcase rare and ancient manuscripts, arms dating back to the 15th century, and costumes of erstwhile royalty. Day 07: Jaipur /– Agra (250 Kms / 5 Hrs)

This morning you will depart for Agra, which flourished under Mughal rule and is most famous as the home of the Taj Mahal and other fine examples of Mughal architecture. En route to Agra, you will visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was built by the Emperor Akbar and is home to many historical buildings. Akbar wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri his headquarters; however, he had to abandon it due to shortage of water. It is the best example of the amalgamation of Hindu and Muslim architecture. The Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti enshrines the burial place of the Sufi saint who lived a religious life here. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World heritage site. Overnight in Agra

Day 08: Agra / Delhi (204 Kms / 03 Hrs)

Today, take a half day tour of Agra, which is believed to have been founded in 1504 by Sultan Sikander Lodi, but flourished later under the Mughal Empire. Visit the Taj Maha… a mausoleum built as a symbol Emperor Shah Jehan’s devotion to his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. Considered an architectural marvel, its construction took thousands of workers over 21 years to complete. Post your visit of Taj you will visit the Red Fort, which was commissioned in 1565 by Akbar, and subsequently embellished by other Mughal Emperors. The beautiful yet forbidding structure houses many exquisite palaces, and is a handsome example of Mughal architecture. Later drive to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel. Day 09: Delhi

Today, you will proceed for a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. The courtyard of the mosque can hold about 25,000 worshippers. Enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi…noisy, chaotic and uniquely Indian. Drive past Red Fort, President House, India Gate and several other government buildings in Edwin Lutyen’s modern Delhi before you head to Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Thereafter, visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. Overnight in Delhi

Day 10: Delhi / Mumbai / Departure

Today get transferred to the Delhi Airport to take your flight to Mumbai and from Mumbai take your connecting flight back home
